Description

A few words about Bali: A fairy tale that blends into the Indian ocean, Bali never tires of conquering you and letting you conquer it in a thousand ways. Tropical vegetation, sweet landscapes, kilometers of coastline, where the low tide brings shells of fairy-tale seabeds to your feet and the tide chases you until you drift away from the currents. As if by the hand of God, extended countless rice fields and countless temples, some silent and others bustling with believers. Yes! Bali is unlike any other place on the map. It walks between earth and sky, between good and evil, between fantasy and reality, between poverty and opulence.

Special Price - Special price of the group program is valid for booking up to 2 months before departure date and for a limited number of participants. After that date, the price of the package goes up +100€ per person

Day 8: Bali - Νyepi celebration & "Day of Silence"
Day 8: Bali - Νyepi celebration & "Day of Silence"

From 06.00 in the morning and for 24 hours, the bustling and always noisy Bali goes silent... For only one day every year, daily activities stop, people do not work, do not move, do not have fun. Even Bali's international airport "closes" for 24 hours. Although the day is a holiday for Hindus, even people of other faiths follow the etiquette of silence on that day as a sign of respect for their fellow citizens. Tourists are not exempt from this either. Although they are free to do whatever they want inside their hotels, traffic is not allowed on the streets and beaches. The only traffic exceptions are emergency vehicles. In addition to the stillness imposed by the day, Bali plunges into darkness in the evening of the same day, since no lights are allowed. According to Hindu tradition, Nyepi is the day when demons pass over Bali and by being quiet the inhabitants try to trick them into believing that no people live here. So today you will spend your day inside your hotel, to rest and become part of the spirituality of the day. Nyepi is not a simple day, it is a unique experience that will surely be unforgettable!
